History & origins
Haengsin 1-dong Parish was established on February 14, 1997. Fr. Paul Yu Jong-man arrived as its first pastor on February 28, and the first parish bulletin was issued on March 9 as the new community began building its pastoral structure.
The first infant baptism was celebrated on April 12, and the first pastoral council was organized on May 4. The official chronology clearly shows a newly established parish quickly developing its sacramental and organizational life.
