About this place
The community of 예수의 까리따스 수녀회 in Yeongwol is a women's religious community engaged in parish apostolate at Yeongwol Parish in the Diocese of Wonju. The Catholic Church directory in Korea identifies 예수의 까리따스 수녀회 as the religious institute serving the parish, and the institute's Seoul Province likewise lists Yeongwol among its parish apostolate assignments in the Diocese of Wonju. This place is therefore not a separate parish or a public facility, but a local base where the sisters live in community and serve alongside Yeongwol Parish.
The institute describes its parish apostolate as focusing on catechesis and explicit proclamation of the Gospel, participation in and encouragement of the community's liturgical prayer, activities that foster human and Christian solidarity, and missionary cooperation. The Yeongwol community can thus be understood as a place of religious life and service in support of parish ministry. Public sources do not, however, specify the exact programs or duties entrusted to this local community, so it is appropriate not to add activities beyond the verified character of its parish apostolate.
