The Jecheon community of the Marist Brothers is registered in the Guide to the Catholic Church in Korea as a male religious community belonging to the Diocese of Wonju. It is the Marist community currently listed for the diocese, and the directory records that the superior of the community also directs the retreat house. The place is therefore best understood not as an ordinary parish or mission station, but as a center where the brothers’ common life and prayer meet an apostolate of retreat and spiritual reflection.
