About this place
The Uijeongbu branch of the Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic is a women's religious community at 36-9 Sinchon-ro in Uijeongbu. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea registers it as a local house of the congregation within the Diocese of Uijeongbu, living Dominican spirituality and a missionary apostolate.
It is not an ordinary territorial parish but a religious house for community life and mission assignments. The exact opening date and detailed local apostolate of this branch are not established in the public official sources reviewed.
History & origins
The congregation was founded on January 10, 1887, and the Catholic Church Directory in Korea records its arrival in Korea on December 3, 1984. It later developed a Korean presence with a principal house, formation facilities, and local communities.
An Uijeongbu branch is now registered at 36-9 Sinchon-ro. Its own opening date is not publicly documented, so 1887 and 1984 should not be presented as the foundation date of this particular branch.
