여주피정의집 is an official retreat and education facility of the Diocese of Suwon, set in the natural surroundings of Gangcheon-myeon in Yeoju. It is intended to help individuals and groups step away from the pace of ordinary life and remain in prayer and silence. The diocesan introduction also calls the place “House of Jesus the Master,” emphasizing retreat as an opportunity to encounter Jesus the Master and to reflect on one’s relationship with God in the midst of nature.

Its primary function differs from that of a territorial parish. Rather than serving a resident congregation on a continuing basis, it provides a place to stay for periods of prayer, spiritual reflection, retreat programs, and faith formation.
