About this place
The Seongnam community of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing, Seoul Priory, is a women's religious community located in Sangdaewon-dong, Jungwon-gu, Seongnam, within the Diocese of Suwon. The Catholic Directory of Korea lists it specifically as the Seongnam branch of the Seoul Priory, so it should be understood not as a parish church but as a local religious community belonging to the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing, Seoul Priory.
The congregation's religious life is rooted in the Rule of Saint Benedict and emphasizes seeking God in community while joining prayer, work, and mission. The sisters describe their vocation as participation in the Church's missionary task through communal life itself and through various forms of evangelizing service. The Seongnam branch therefore has meaning as a local religious community in which this Benedictine missionary spirituality is lived within the Suwon Diocese.
