About this place
This location is listed in the Catholic Church in Korea directory as the Suwon District community of the Seoul Province of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres, situated in Gwangju within the Diocese of Suwon. Gwangju Parish is registered at the same address, and the directory also identifies the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres as the religious community serving that parish, confirming a close local connection between the sisters and the parish.
The Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres are an apostolic congregation of women religious whose mission is charity, with a spirit of simplicity, humility, and boldness and a Christ-centered, Paschal spirituality. Within this wider identity, the Suwon District is understood as a community of consecrated women living religious life within the local Church.
This is therefore not a territorial parish or an independent retreat house but a local base of the Seoul Province through which the congregation maintains religious life and apostolic presence in the Diocese of Suwon. Because publicly available sources do not describe the community's specific local ministries in detail, the place is best understood within the verified scope of a convent community serving as the congregation's Suwon District base.
