Suzy Mother's House Retreat Center

About this place

수지성모의 집 is registered in the Diocese of Suwon as a retreat and prayer house. The official Catholic directory in Korea classifies it as a retreat and prayer facility in Dongcheon-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin, and indicates that a priest is assigned to assist sacramental life. It is different in character from a territorial parish church: its present identity is best understood as a Church facility intended to help the faithful step away from ordinary routines and devote time to prayer and reflection.

The key to understanding the place is therefore not regular territorial parish ministry but its purpose as a setting for retreat, prayer, and spiritual rest. Public official information does not present its detailed programs or intended users as fixed features, so the clearest basis for describing it is its ecclesial status as a retreat and prayer house within the Diocese of Suwon rather than operational details that may change. It serves the life of faith in a way distinct from a parish by offering a place where people can remain quietly and examine their spiritual lives.
