Seungseung Jesus Retreat House

About this place

스승예수피정의집 is registered in the Diocese of Suwon as a retreat and prayer house, with the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master identified as the responsible religious institute. It shares the address of 816 Wonyang 1-ro in Gangcheon-myeon, Yeoju with the institute’s Yeoju community, but the official Catholic directory lists the religious community and the retreat house as separate entries. Visitors should therefore understand it not as the sisters’ community residence itself, but as a distinct apostolic space entrusted to that community for retreats and spiritual formation.

Official information from the institute presents the Yeoju retreat house as a place available for parish re-education programs and commissioned retreats. In continuity with the institute’s spirituality centered on the liturgy and Eucharistic adoration, its role is to help people step away from daily routines and concentrate on the Word and prayer. Rather than exercising territorial parish jurisdiction, it is centered on the retreat apostolate, serving individuals and groups who wish to examine their faith and devote time to prayer while remaining closely connected to the prayer life of the neighboring religious community.
