Sisters of the Disciples of Jesus

About this place

The community of the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master at 816 Wonyang 1-ro is identified in the official Catholic directory as the Yeoju community. The same address also contains the 스승예수피정의집 retreat house, which is separately registered as a retreat and prayer facility under the institute’s responsibility, while the Yeoju Betania community is separately registered nearby at 818 Wonyang 1-ro. This place should therefore be understood as the officially distinct Yeoju religious community among several related communities and facilities of the same institute.

The Sister Disciples of the Divine Master are a women’s religious institute of the Pauline Family, following Jesus the Divine Master, Way, Truth, and Life, with prayer and apostolic life centered on the liturgy and Eucharistic adoration. Official material from the institute presents the Mass, the Liturgy of the Hours, and Eucharistic adoration as major forms of community prayer. The Yeoju community is therefore defined not by territorial parish jurisdiction but by the consecrated life and common prayer of the sisters, while also standing close to the retreat apostolate at the same address. Through a life centered on the liturgy and the Eucharist, it continues the Church’s mission of prayer and service.
