Caritas Geodang-gil Retreat Center

About this place

Caritas Geodan-gil Retreat House is a retreat and formation apostolate operated by the Suwon Province of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus. The community describes it as a place where people can step away from daily life, lay down their burdens in “rest and prayer,” and renew their lives. It welcomes both individual and group retreats and supports educational programs. Rather than being a parish or mission station with territorial jurisdiction, it is a place of spiritual accompaniment for those seeking reflection and renewal in faith.

The facilities include private rooms, lecture and small-group rooms, a church and smaller chapel, and a dining hall, together with an ecological garden, a forest walking path, and a Way of the Cross. This arrangement allows personal prayer in silence, communal retreats, and formation in Scripture to take place within one setting. The retreat house’s distinctive role lies in combining the apostolic mission of the sisters with a natural environment for prayer, so that visitors can experience rest and spiritual reflection together.
