About this place
Gojan Catholic Church is a parish in the Ansan district of the Second Vicariate of the Diocese of Suwon, where Catholics in Gojan-dong and the surrounding area of Danwon-gu gather for Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community activities. Its patron saint is St. Timothy, the early Church co-worker whose name accompanies the parish community in its life of faith.
The parish is distinctive in that it currently continues its liturgical and pastoral life in space within a multipurpose building rather than in a conventional stand-alone church structure. This circumstance highlights that the essence of a parish lies not in the size or outward appearance of its building but in the liturgical, sacramental, and evangelizing life of its Catholic community.
Located within the central living area of Ansan, Gojan Parish provides a community in which local Catholics can remain connected and sustain their faith. Visitors should therefore understand it first as a living parish community using its present space, rather than expecting a traditional church building based solely on the name.
