The Jesuit Center is an education and retreat facility of the Society of Jesus at 19 Sogangdaegil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea directory classifies it within the Archdiocese of Seoul as a “retreat/prayer house” and lists its name as “Jesuit Center (Education Center, Retreat House).” A Jesuit priest serves as director, clearly distinguishing the center from a territorial parish and identifying it as a separate facility for Jesuit spiritual and educational ministry.

It is therefore best understood not as a parish church serving a defined territory but as a place people visit for retreats, prayer, and faith formation. In the Sinchon-Sinsu area, where Sogang University and several Jesuit communities are located, it functions as a base supporting the Society of Jesus’ educational and spiritual apostolate.
