Order of the Eternal Help of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Religious house
영원한 도움의 성모 수도회
About this place
The community of the Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Hyehwa-dong is the “Hyehwa-dong Branch.” It is not a parish but a local religious community in which sisters continue common life, prayer, and apostolic service. It is distinct from the Jongno Seongmo-ui-jip Branch in Insa-dong and the Seongmo Education Center Branch in Heukseok-dong.
The institute describes its charism as proclaiming the Gospel by participating in the mystery of the Incarnation of the Word and emphasizes a spirituality that unites prayer, common life, and apostolic activity in imitation of Mary. The Hyehwa-dong Branch can therefore be understood as a religious community living the institute’s spirituality and mission in a concrete setting in central Seoul.
