About this place
This location is the Seoul branch of the Mirinae Clerical Institute of the Most Holy Trinity, at 29 4.19-ro 13-gil in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea confirms the branch at this address and provides its current leadership information.
The Mirinae institute is a Korean-founded clerical religious community whose mission has included priestly formation and religious life. The Suyu-dong location is therefore best understood as a Seoul religious-community branch, not as a territorial parish.
History & origins
The historical roots of the Mirinae Clerical Institute of the Most Holy Trinity go back to a priestly-formation community begun on September 24, 1976. As the community developed, its first perpetual professions were made in 1990, and on March 19, 1991, it was formally erected as a diocesan clerical religious institute.
The sources therefore distinguish 1976 as the historical beginning of the community and March 19, 1991, as the canonical establishment date of the present institute. The public directory confirms the current Suyu-dong Seoul branch but does not give its opening date, so neither of those congregation-wide dates is presented as the foundation date of this particular branch.
