History & origins
The Daughters of Mary Immaculate were founded in Agen, France, on May 25, 1816, and the Catholic Church Directory in Korea records May 17, 1979, as the date of their arrival in Korea. The current directory lists the Ahyeon-dong branch as a separate community alongside the motherhouse and novitiate in Mok-dong.
The exact opening date or relocation history of the Ahyeon-dong branch was not established in the official public sources reviewed. The congregation's foundation and Korean arrival are therefore provided as background, while no unsupported date is assigned to the Ahyeon-dong community itself.
