About this place
Okdong Catholic Church is a parish of the Yaeum District of the Diocese of Busan and serves as a center of liturgy, sacraments, catechesis, and community life for Catholics in the Okdong area of Nam-gu, Ulsan. The Diocese of Busan’s official parish directory likewise identifies Okdong as a parish of the Yaeum District, where local Catholics gather regularly in the southern urban area of Ulsan.
A parish is a basic community of the Church where the faithful celebrate Mass and the sacraments and continue formation, prayer, fellowship, and service across generations. Okdong Catholic Church is likewise a place where an independent parish community lives its faith around its own church. The official parish information clearly confirms its present affiliation and location, while a sufficiently detailed and reliable foundation history was not found; it is therefore most accurate for visitors to understand it first as a present-day parish of the Yaeum District in the Diocese of Busan.
