Haebyeongdae Yoram Catholic Church is a Navy parish of the Military Ordinariate of Korea in Ocheon-eup, Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do. On its official website, the ordinariate separately presents it, together with the Naval Education and Training Command church, as one of its Navy-related “training-center churches,” and an official personnel notice identifies its assignment as the Marine Corps Education and Training Group.

For that reason, the parish's primary pastoral focus is on service members undergoing training and instruction at the education and training group. It is a setting of military chaplaincy where recruits can encounter Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and faith formation during the major transition of enlistment and training. Unlike a territorial parish with a relatively stable population, its pastoral environment is shaped by a training center in which the community changes rapidly according to successive training cycles.
