In the Diocese of Masan’s 2022 regular clergy appointments, the entry for the House of Spiritual Life is explicitly marked as “newly established,” together with the assignment of a priest. This document provides a firm point at which the house can be identified as an officially constituted pastoral and spiritual facility within the diocesan structure. This research did not find official documentation that would allow the history of the property or its earlier uses to be traced further back.

After its establishment, the facility was listed in the Catholic Church directory in Korea as a “retreat/prayer house” of the Diocese of Masan, and the Korean Catholic Bishops’ Conference included the same name and location in its nationwide guide to retreat and prayer houses. These listings show that the site came to be recognized not as a temporary venue for a single diocesan program but as a continuing facility dedicated to retreat and prayer.

The history that can currently be verified therefore centers on its formal establishment by the diocese and its subsequent integration into national Catholic directories and retreat information.
