About this place
This place is registered in the Catholic directory as the “Changwon Community” of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing, Daegu Priory. It belongs to the Diocese of Masan and uses the same address, 45 Changi-daero in Uichang-gu, Changwon, as Changwon Fatima Hospital. The official hospital website also names the Catholic foundation in a way that identifies both the Daegu Missionary Benedictine Sisters and the Diocese of Masan, confirming the close institutional connection between the religious community at this address and the Catholic medical setting.
The Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing emphasize in their constitutions a special call to participate in the missionary service of the Church. The Changwon community can therefore be understood as a local religious community that continues Benedictine prayer and common life within this missionary tradition. However, available official sources do not establish the founding date or detailed chronology of the Changwon community itself, so the history of the Daegu Priory as a whole should not be treated as though it were the history of this particular Changwon location.
