Saengnim Mission Catholic Church is a missionary parish in the Changwon district of the Diocese of Masan, forming one community through Saengnim Catholic Church in Saengnim-myeon and Hallim Catholic Church in Hallim-myeon, Gimhae. The Catholic Directory of Korea identifies Our Lady of Perpetual Help as the parish patron and lists the two church sites under the same parish. The public history of the Diocese of Masan identifies Saengnim Mission Parish as a parish newly established in 2009. The Catholic Directory of Korea gives the more precise establishment date of December 28, 2009. Its creation formed part of the diocese’s broader expansion of parishes and missionary parishes in the Changwon and Gimhae area during the late 2000s.
After its establishment, Saengnim Mission Parish took shape with two church sites: Saengnim Catholic Church in Saengnim-myeon and Hallim Catholic Church in Hallim-myeon, Gimhae. The current Catholic directory still lists both addresses under the same parish, confirming that the local communities of Saengnim and Hallim remain connected within one missionary parish.
The publicly available official sources do not provide enough detail to reconstruct the preparatory stages of the foundation or the construction chronology of each church building. The verifiable historical core is therefore that the missionary parish was established at the end of 2009 and subsequently developed a pastoral structure based on the two centers of Saengnim and Hallim. That structure continues to express the founding purpose of linking a broad area within one parish community.
