About this place
The Jinju community of the Sisters of Jesus of Nazareth is a local women's religious community within the Diocese of Masan. The Catholic directory gives its official subsidiary name as the “Jinju Community” and its English name as Sisters of Jesus of Nazareth, abbreviated S.J.N. The sisters are located at the same site as Manggyeong-dong Catholic Church, and the directory entry for Manggyeong-dong Parish also lists the Sisters of Jesus of Nazareth as the religious congregation serving the parish.
This setting indicates that the Jinju community is not primarily a pilgrimage facility but a religious house living in close proximity to the parish community and the local Church. The sisters' life of prayer and community, together with their close relationship to the parish, forms an important part of the character of the place. Because the public official sources do not describe the branch's specific current apostolates in detail, this account does not add unverified educational or welfare activities and focuses instead on its verified identity as a religious community situated with the parish.
