Goseong House of the Sacred Heart

About this place

Goseong Sacred Heart House is a retreat and prayer house of the Diocese of Masan in Donghae-myeon, Goseong-gun, under the care of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Catholic directory and national retreat guide classify it not as a parish or mission station but as a distinct place for retreat and prayer. Its central role is therefore not territorial parish ministry, but providing a setting where people can step away from ordinary routines for prayer, reflection, and spiritual rest.

Catholic Times has introduced Goseong Sacred Heart House as a place where families can stay in a natural setting near the sea and hills and spend time in prayer and reflection together. It has also been listed as a place where spiritual guidance and retreat accompaniment are available, giving individuals and small groups an environment suited to silence and the examination of faith and life. Visitors can best understand it not as a church centered on a regular parish schedule, but as a quiet spiritual place cared for by a religious congregation.
