About this place
Daesan Mission Station is a Catholic mission station of the Diocese of Masan in Daesan-myeon, Uichang-gu, Changwon. The Catholic directory identifies it as a mission station in Area 2 of the Changwon District. In a rural residential area away from a parish church, its central character is that of a small local place where Catholics can gather near home for prayer and sustain community faith.
Daesan-myeon consists of broad agricultural land and dispersed villages, making the presence of a nearby mission community especially meaningful. Although smaller than an independent parish, the mission station helps maintain relationships among Catholics and keeps a visible Catholic community present in the locality. Because current public official sources do not sufficiently establish the latest details of its mother parish or regular liturgical schedule, this introduction is limited to its verified diocesan and district identity and its local significance.
