About this place
The Jeonju community of the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters is listed in the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea directory as the order's “Jeonju branch” within the Catholic Diocese of Jeonju. The directory gives the official English name Olivetan Benedictine Sisters of Busan and places the Jeonju branch at the same address as Hoseong-dong Parish. The site is therefore best understood not as an ordinary parish church but as a local religious community of the congregation living within the Diocese of Jeonju.
The Olivetan tradition is rooted in Benedictine spirituality, emphasizing common life, prayer, and a contemplative search for God. The congregation's official material likewise presents the Olivetan family as a monastic community living within the Benedictine tradition. Public sources do not sufficiently identify the specific apostolates or visitor functions of the Jeonju branch, so the most reliable description of the place is its confirmed identity as a Benedictine women's religious community present in the Diocese of Jeonju.
