About this place
The Congregation of the Sacred Word is a women’s religious congregation founded in Korea, and the place in this package is listed in the Catholic Church directory in Korea as the congregation’s “Jeonju regional superior house.” The directory classifies the community under the Diocese of Jeonju while giving a representative address in the living area of the Korea Army Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in Yeonmu-eup, Nonsan, Chungcheongnam-do. Its character therefore needs to be understood by considering both its civil location in Chungcheongnam-do and its ecclesial registration under the Diocese of Jeonju.
The congregation’s spirituality centers on the Word of God and mission, with an emphasis on living the Gospel through prayer and service. This place is best understood not as an ordinary parish church but as a local house for the life and apostolate of women religious. The public directory does not establish the precise scope of the community’s current apostolate, so it should not be interpreted as a public church or a regular Mass venue beyond what the sources support; its verified identity is that of a religious community registered within the Diocese of Jeonju.
