About this place
The Gunsan Community of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd is a women’s religious community located within the Diocese of Jeonju. The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea directory lists it as the “Sisters of the Good Shepherd, Gunsan Community” and gives the official English name Sisters of the Good Shepherd. The same Gunsan location also appears in the Diocese of Jeonju’s list of religious institutes.
This is not a territorial parish church responsible for Catholics in a defined neighborhood, but a local community of a religious institute where sisters live their common life and prayer. Visitors should therefore distinguish it from an ordinary parish and understand it primarily as a place of consecrated religious community within the Diocese of Jeonju rather than as a parish center with the usual parish schedule and pastoral jurisdiction.
