Jeojeon-dong Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju at 19-1 Seomun-ro, Suncheon, within the Suncheon district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on January 1, 1900, with St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus as its patron.
It is one of the long-established parishes of the Suncheon area and holds a notable place in the missionary history of the archdiocese. Archdiocesan records state that the Missionaries of Guadalupe began parish ministry in Jeojeon-dong in October 1965.
Jeojeon-dong Catholic Church is therefore a historic Suncheon parish under the patronage of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, with more than a century of parish and missionary continuity forming the core meaning of the place.
