About this place
The Hallim branch of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a women’s religious community active in the Diocese of Jeju. The Catholic Church directory registers it as the “Hallim branch,” and the Diocese of Jeju likewise places the community within Hallim Parish. The location is therefore a base for a religious community living in close connection with the local parish, rather than a separate parish church or an ordinary public church facility.
The Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus place the love of the Sacred Heart at the center of their identity and apostolic life. Their official website presents ministries in parish mission, social welfare, health care, early-childhood education, overseas mission, retreats, and other fields, describing the community as praying and serving so that the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus may be realized in the world. The Hallim branch can be understood as a local community living this spirituality and mission within the Diocese of Jeju; detailed assignments or the roles of current individual members are not included where they are not documented in public official sources.
