About this place
The Jeju community of the Society of St. Paul is a male institute of consecrated life located within the Diocese of Jeju. The Catholic Church directory lists it as the “Jeju branch of the Society of St. Paul” and confirms a religious community in the Hwabuk area of Jeju City. It is not a territorial parish responsible for a defined local population, but a local religious house where members of the Society of St. Paul live their common and consecrated life.
The Society of St. Paul has developed an apostolate that uses publishing, printing, broadcasting, and other forms of media for the proclamation of the Gospel. Since entering Korea in 1962, the congregation has continued to place media evangelization at the center of its work. The Jeju branch is significant as a community living this wider Pauline spirituality and apostolic identity within the Diocese of Jeju, while the specific activities of the local house are best understood through the congregation’s and diocese’s current information.
