Unnam Catholic Church is a parish in the Yeongjong District of the Diocese of Incheon and serves as a center for the Catholic community in the Unnam-dong area of Yeongjongdo Island. Unnam Parish was established on January 13, 2025, as a new parish of the Diocese of Incheon. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea records that date as its official establishment and lists St. Francis as its patron. Publicly available official sources therefore provide only a short parish history so far.
In 2026, the year after its establishment, the Diocese of Incheon also adjusted parts of its district structure in response to changes in Incheon's administrative divisions. According to Catholic Times, the Yeongjong living area was separated from the former Jung-Dong-gu District to form a new Yeongjong District, and Unnam was grouped there with Sindo, Yeongjong, Yongyu, and Unseo-dong.
The history of Unnam Catholic Church to date can thus be summarized as the early stage of a newly established parish taking its place within a newly organized regional pastoral structure.
