About this place
Seonjindong Mission Station is a Catholic mission station in Daecheong-myeon under the Diocese of Incheon and is currently listed as such in the official Catholic directory of Korea. Within Daecheongdo, it can be understood as a small local center of faith connected with parish life. Its identity as a mission station rather than an independent parish reflects a place where island Catholics can gather close to their everyday lives for prayer and community life.
The significance of a mission station lies less in the scale of its facilities than in the fact that it preserves a place where local Catholics have practiced their faith together. Seonjindong likewise remains part of the Catholic presence on Daecheongdo under the island's distinctive geographical conditions. Public official sources do not provide enough information to state a stable liturgical schedule or other detailed functions, so visitors should check current arrangements through the parish or diocesan sources.
