About this place
Seochang 2-dong Parish belongs to the Namdong District of the Catholic Diocese of Incheon and is the local Catholic parish community serving the residential area of Seochang 2-dong in Namdong-gu, Incheon. The official Catholic directory in Korea currently lists Seochang 2-dong as a parish of the Diocese of Incheon, confirming that it is an independent parish pastoral unit rather than a mission station or a simple chapel.
A parish is the local unit of the Church through which Catholics can participate in Mass and the sacraments close to home and continue their faith through catechetical formation and community activities. Seochang 2-dong Parish serves this function by linking local Catholics with the Diocese of Incheon. The official directory, however, leaves some fields such as the date of establishment and the patron blank, so this introduction does not add information that could not be verified.
