Love Missionary Sisters

About this place

The Incheon community of the Missionaries of Charity is registered in the Catholic Church directory in Korea as a women’s institute of consecrated life affiliated with the Diocese of Incheon, under the official English name Missionaries of Charity (M.C.). Rather than functioning as an ordinary parish church, this place is a religious community where sisters share common life and prayer while carrying out the apostolate of their congregation.

The Missionaries of Charity place service to Christ in the poor and marginalized at the heart of their vocation. Catholic sources in Korea report that the congregation has operated Onjeong House in Incheon, caring for seriously ill elderly people without family support and for those approaching the end of life. Alongside this service, the sisters maintain Mass and Eucharistic adoration as important pillars of their religious life. The Incheon community is therefore best understood not as a substitute for a territorial parish, but as a religious community that lives the congregation’s particular mission of serving poor neighbors through a life rooted in prayer and common life.
