About this place
Namchondong Catholic Church is a parish of the Namdong District in the Diocese of Incheon, serving Catholics of Namchondong and the surrounding residential area through Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and parish community life. The current Guide to the Catholic Church in Korea identifies the Immaculate Conception as the parish patron and registers Namchondong as an independent parish without mission stations.
Its present significance lies in gathering the everyday faith life of Catholics in this part of Namdong-gu into a parish community. The church is not simply a religious building but a center for Sunday Mass, catechesis, service, and the major sacramental moments of Christian life. Because reliable Catholic sources differ by one day on the date of parish establishment, this introduction does not settle the chronology and instead focuses on the parish’s current official affiliation and role.
