About this place
Moraeol Mission Station belongs to the Jung-Donggu district of the Diocese of Incheon and is under Daecheongdo Quasi-Parish. It is a local Catholic community on Daecheong Island through which believers living away from the parish church remain connected with their mother parish. The official directory of the Catholic Church in Korea confirms its current status as a mission station and its relationship with Daecheongdo.
Because a mission station is a smaller local Catholic community dependent on a parish, its meaning is best understood through that relationship rather than through changeable schedules or temporary operating details. A 2005 Catholic Times article already listed Moraeol Mission Station separately alongside Daecheongdo Church, confirming that it existed as a Catholic place by that time. However, currently available reliable sources do not establish its founding date or early formation.
