About this place
The Incheon house of the Sisters of St. Joseph's Charity of Mirinae is a women's religious community belonging to the Diocese of Incheon and located in Ongnyeon-dong. The official directory of the Catholic Church in Korea explicitly identifies it as the ‘Incheon house’ and gives the congregation's English name as Sisters of St. Joseph's Charity of Mirinae. Its essential identity is therefore not that of an independent parish or institution but of a local community of this religious congregation.
The congregation emphasizes awareness of the presence of the Holy Trinity and the imitation of the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph, understanding apostolic and charitable service as work entrusted to it by the Church. It has been particularly associated with charitable ministries for children and elderly people in difficult circumstances. These points describe the congregation's general spirituality and apostolic character, not a separately verified ministry of the present Incheon house. The community is therefore best understood as a local religious house living the congregation's spirituality within the local Church.
