Mirinae Holy Trinity Religious Order

About this place

The Ganghwa house of the Clerical Society of the Most Holy Trinity of Mirinae is a male clerical religious community belonging to the Diocese of Incheon and located in Bureun-myeon, Ganghwa. The official directory of the Catholic Church in Korea explicitly lists it as the ‘Ganghwa house’ of the Clerical Society of the Most Holy Trinity of Mirinae and gives the congregation's English name accordingly. The place is therefore best understood not as an independent parish but as a local religious community in which priests and religious of the society live common life and carry out their apostolate.

The spirituality of the society seeks union with the Holy Trinity under the guiding phrase ‘Glory to the Holy Trinity through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,’ and aims to share in apostolic activity the love drawn from contemplation. The Catholic Encyclopedia in Korea describes it as a clerical religious society that combines contemplative and active life. Because the specific apostolate of the present Ganghwa house is not sufficiently documented in public sources, this introduction focuses on its ecclesial identity as a local house and on the spirituality of the society as a whole.
