About this place
The Incheon community of the Sisters of the Annunciation of the Divine Word is a women's religious community registered in the Diocese of Incheon and located in Sincheon-dong, Siheung. The congregation was founded by Father Lawrence Seon Jong-wan and has emphasized witnessing to the Word of God by ‘thinking according to Scripture and living according to Scripture.’ A religious life that brings prayer and work into harmony and translates the Word into daily practice lies at the center of its identity.
The congregation as a whole has served in parishes and mission stations as well as in social-welfare and medical apostolates, and the Incheon house is one of its local communities within the Diocese of Incheon. The current Catholic directory clearly confirms the existence and affiliation of this community, but does not provide enough public information about the specific ministries or programs of the present house. It is therefore best understood first as the Incheon community of a congregation centered on living the Word, rather than by assuming activities that are not documented for this particular location.
