About this place
This place is the Incheon St. Clare Monastery of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. The Guide to the Catholic Church in Korea identifies the community at 372 Jangje-ro, Bupyeong-gu, as a male religious house within the Diocese of Incheon and shows that its friars participate in nearby parish ministry, spiritual assistance to the Secular Franciscan Order, and other Franciscan apostolates.
The Conventual Franciscans seek to live the evangelical life of St. Francis in fraternity through prayer, communal life, and service in the Church. Incheon St. Clare Monastery is therefore not itself a territorial parish but a religious community from which friars serve the diocese and the wider Franciscan family. Visitors can best understand it as a place where consecrated Franciscan life and pastoral service meet, rather than as an ordinary parish church.
