Deokjeokdo Quasi-Parish Church is the central church of a quasi-parish established by the Diocese of Incheon to serve Catholics on Deokjeokdo and neighboring islands. The Guide to the Catholic Church in Korea lists the community as a quasi-parish of the diocese and records four mission stations under its care. By linking Catholics scattered across different islands through one central church and a network of mission stations, it represents a characteristic form of Catholic pastoral care in the West Sea islands.

Travel among the islands of the Deokjeok archipelago is strongly affected by ferry schedules and weather, so the connection between local mission stations and the central church is especially important. Deokjeokdo Church is both the liturgical center of its own local community and a pastoral hub supporting surrounding island mission stations. Its significance therefore lies not only in the church building itself but in being the center of a network that keeps small island communities connected with the diocese and able to sustain Catholic life across the sea.
