About this place
Bupyeong 1-dong Catholic Church is a parish of the Bupyeong District in the Diocese of Incheon and serves as a pastoral center for Catholics in the dense urban area of Bupyeong-gu. The current Catholic Church in Korea directory lists the Holy Trinity as its patron. Through Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, youth ministry, and lay community activities, the parish helps Catholics sustain a life of faith in an urban setting.
Today Bupyeong 1-dong is a place of lived faith where Catholics of different generations gather in the center of Bupyeong. Its patronal dedication to the Holy Trinity calls attention to the unity and communion of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and offers a spiritual image for a parish in which diverse members live as one Church. Because historical sources differ on the exact date of establishment, the introduction focuses on the parish's present identity rather than chronology.
