About this place
Yongdang-dong Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju in Yongdang-dong, Mokpo, within the Mokpo-Muan district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on October 30, 1979, and lists its patronal designation as a memorial to clergy abducted and martyred during the Korean War.
Since the late 1970s, the parish has served Catholics in the Yongdang-dong area through Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community life. Its current address at 36 Yongdang-ro 216beon-gil matches the package information.
The church is therefore best understood through both its memorial identity and its continuing role as a local parish community in Mokpo.
