About this place
The Caritas Sisters of Jesus Education Center is a retreat and prayer facility of the Archdiocese of Gwangju at 20-22 Ipha 2an-gil, Imam-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea lists it separately as the “Caritas Sisters of Jesus Education Center,” while the congregation’s Gwangju provincial community is located at the same address.
Unlike the entry referring to the religious community itself, the defining character of this place is its function as a facility for retreats, education, and formation. It is physically connected with the congregation at the same address but should be described separately by function.
This site is therefore best understood not as a territorial parish church, but as a retreat and education facility connected with the Caritas Sisters of Jesus.
