About this place
Yeongam Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju. The archdiocese records the parish as established on August 15, 1968, with the Holy Family as its patron.
The parish serves Catholics in Yeongam-eup and surrounding areas through Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community life. Its current address also matches the place information in the package.
The church is therefore best understood as a local parish under the patronage of the Holy Family, with the continuity of its liturgical and pastoral life forming the core identity of the place.
