The Gwangju community of the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of Troyes is a women’s religious community located in an apartment in Jorye-dong, Suncheon. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea records it as the congregation’s Gwangju community within the Archdiocese of Gwangju.
The congregation itself was founded on March 25, 1840 and entered Korea on October 16, 2002; these dates refer to the institute and its Korean mission, not to the foundation date of the Gwangju community. The local community is not a territorial parish church but a small religious house where members continue common life and apostolic service.
The site is therefore best understood as the Suncheon-based Gwangju community of the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of Troyes.
