About this place
Ssangchon-dong Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju in Ssangchon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, within the Gwangju West district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on January 31, 1981, with the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary as its patron.
Since the early 1980s, the parish has served as a local pastoral center where Catholics of Ssangchon-dong and nearby neighborhoods gather for Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community activities. Its current address at 17-14 Sangmu-daero 955beon-gil matches the package information.
Ssangchon-dong Catholic Church is therefore a local parish of western Gwangju under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception, with the continuity of its liturgical and pastoral life since 1981 forming the core identity of the place.
