About this place
Sinui Catholic Church is a parish church of the Archdiocese of Gwangju in Sinui-myeon, Sinan County, within the Mokpo-Sinan district. The archdiocese records the parish as established on August 29, 2012, with St. Raphael the Archangel as its patron.
The parish is a local pastoral center where Catholics of the island community of Sinui-myeon gather for Mass, the sacraments, catechesis, and community life. The archdiocesan page displays adjacent street numbers together, but another source gives 15-4 Sangdong-gil, matching the package, so the place can be identified as the same church.
Sinui Catholic Church is therefore a local parish of Sinan County under the patronage of St. Raphael the Archangel, with parish community life continuing since 2012 at the core of the place’s identity.
