About this place
The retreat house of the Missionary Sisters of the Oblates of the Assumption is a retreat and prayer facility of the Archdiocese of Gwangju in Geumho-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju. The Catholic Church Directory in Korea lists the facility under the congregation's name and identifies the Missionary Sisters of the Oblates of the Assumption as the responsible religious community.
It is not an ordinary parish church or simply another convent branch, but a spiritual facility intended for individuals and groups to spend time in prayer, reflection, and retreat. Because the congregation also has its provincial house and a separate branch in Geumho-dong, the retreat house is best understood as a functionally distinct facility.
Current Catholic address sources differ on the building number, giving either 11 or 13 Geumhosimgok-gil. The facility name, telephone number, and responsible congregation nevertheless match, confirming the identity of the place. This introduction therefore avoids asserting one building number and focuses on its continuing identity as a retreat and prayer house.
