The House of Love and Mercy is a retreat and education facility of the Archdiocese of Gwangju located on the same grounds as Sageori Catholic Church in Bugi-myeon, Jangseong County. The archdiocese's official retreat-house guide identifies it as an education and retreat facility operated by Sageori Parish and describes it as a place for personal and small-group prayer and retreats.
The facility was dedicated in 2015 during the celebration of the eightieth anniversary of Sageori Parish. Archdiocesan records explain that it was prepared as a place where pilgrims visiting the historic Catholic villages of Jangseong could stay and where individuals and small groups could hold retreats, formation sessions, and seminars.
The House of Love and Mercy is therefore not an independent parish church, but a retreat house connected with the history and pastoral life of Sageori Parish. Its central purpose is to support pilgrimage through the region's old Catholic settlements, quiet prayer, and small-group spiritual formation.
